Fallen Women is a musical play set among the low life of Victorian Windsor, with the fighting and violence of the soldiers and navvies, and the harsh plight of the girls forced to work in the town’s brothels. It tells the story of the moving friendship between two girls, one a hardened prostitute, the other fleeing an abusive father. They find refuge in Mariquita Tennant’s House of Mercy in Clewer. One finds love, the other meets a tragic end.
